Kristine, Paul and Benjamin Airey from British Columbia were visiting with Kristine’s parents, Bruce and Gwen Luke, last week.

There will be a 70th Birthday celebration for Marilyn Beacock-White, on June 17th at Greenbank Hall from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Drop in and wish Marilyn a Happy Birthday.

The Over 40 Ladies Fun Baseball league is looking for a few more players. We play Tuesday nights in Seagrave. Please call Mason at 905-986-1400 or Dianne Lewis at 905-985-1529 for more info.

Ross and Jean Short spent the weekend with their daughter Donna, grandaughter Lee and her family in Brockville.

Happy Birthday wishes to Cathy Nix and John Kent. Happy 49th Anniversary to Wynne and Wendy Hughes and Happy 19th Anniversary to Brett and Robin Drew.

The greeters were Carol Coleman and Eleanor Sturman. The choir sang “Let Us Pray”. Rev. Richard’s message for the first Sunday of Pentecost was entitled, “When the Spirit Comes”. The spirit is like a fire inside us and the mighty winds blow away our sins and give us peace.

John Olivero offered free golf balls for those that were golfing at Sunnybrae Golf Course in the Men’s Breakfast Group “Fun Day of Golf”. Despite the soggy grounds, there were 19 golfers and 44 people sat in fellowship for a delicious steak supper. Wynne Hughes team from King’s Bay won the best team with a score of 32 for 9 holes.

June 10th at BBQ Hamburgs and Movie Night at the Somerville’s barn. A free will offering will be received. Please bring a salad or dessert. Social at 5:30, supper 6:00, movie approximately at 8:00 p.m. For further info contact John at 905-449-8608.

June 11th at 12:15 p.m. Joint Congregational Meeting for Greenbank and Seagrave at Greenbank Church, after their service. This is a discussion of the percentage of division of funds from the sale of the manse.
June 11th at 7:00 p.m. Healing Service at Seagrave Church. All are welcome.

Trinity United Church, Cannington is having an evening of music and stories to, celebrate Canada's 150th Anniversary, on June 11th at 6:30 p.m. "Partners in History: Canada & Our Town Turns 150" is a fund raising event toward the Syrian Refugee resettlement and donations are welcome. Silent auction items are available and a reception will follow.

June 13th at 12:00 p.m. Out to Lunch Strawberry Social. Menu, salads, ham, buns, strawberries, ice cream, pound cake, tea and coffee. Free will offering. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the Scugog Food Bank. If you wish to attend call Jean at 905-985-9921 or grammiejean2010@hotmail.com by June 11th. Sign up sheet for volunteers and food items in the church foyer.

June 25th at 9:15 a.m. Canada’s 150th Birthday service.

June 25th at 1:00 p.m. Seagrave Canada’s 150th Historical Tour with Paul Arculus and Larry Doble. The walk will begin at the Seagrave Church and will take an hour. Following the walk Lake Scugog Historical Society will serve light refreshments at the Church.

Seagrave Church will be closed for the month of July. Greenbank Church will be open and you are welcome to attend.
