John Olivero’s granddaughter, Claire, and Howard Payne visited the birthday box. Happy Birthday to Barb Martyn on June 18th. Happy Anniversary to Karen & Bill Heustis on June 20th, and Belated Happy Anniversary to Clem & Donna Scanes on June 11th.
The Seagrave Classics, Teri Murphy-Payne, Betty Somerville and Jane Pettinger, were presented with Certificates of Appreciation for their participation in the 'Grate Groan-up Spelling Bee' in May, which benefit the Georgina Public Library.
As well as being Father’s Day, Sunday was also Aboriginal Day and the Prayer of Confession was based on an Aboriginal prayer. Rev. Richard read some touching poems about fathers.
The children handed out a small solar light to each of the men in the congregation. The Choir sang a beautiful rendition of “You are There”. Rev. Richard told us to “Preach to Your Own”. Our mission starts at home, with those around us. Just be yourself and let the Spirit speak.
June 25th at 9:15 a.m. Canada’s 150th Birthday service. Please bring stories to share about why we love Canada. There will be time during the service to share the stories.
June 25th at 1:00 p.m. Historical Tour of Seagrave with Paul Arculus and Larry Doble. The walk will begin and end at the Seagrave Church and will take an hour. Following the walk the Lake Scugog Historical Society will serve light refreshments at the Church.
Seagrave Church will be closed for the month of July. Greenbank Church will be open and you are welcome to attend the service.

July 8th at 5:30 p.m. “Christmas In July” at Miller Memorial Hall and Church, 88 Algonquin Rd., Little Britain. Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. We will sing some carols, enjoy some food and friendship, and maybe a door prize or two.
