Rain, rain please go away. People would like to get their gardens planted, and farmers would like to get their crops planted. I, for one, would like to see sun shine for a week.

The greeters at church last week were Don and Betty Lou Beacock. The Christ Candle was lit by Minister Stephanie and her twin granddaughters, Lilly and Leina. The birthday box was visited by Chris Acton, whose birthday was on May 14th, Irene Sutch on May 25th, and Jack Redshaw on May 17th. The choir sang a delightful version of “In the Stillness of the Morning, I Hear the Music”. The Minute for Mission was read by Tara Taylor, and was entitled, “A Place of Worship, a Place Called Home”.The scripture was read by Irene Sutch. The service was in celebration and blessing of the 'Rogation Elements'. Stephanie did a blessing of the seeds, the soil and water. She asked for bringing forth the mystery of the seeds being planted in the soil, and to those who work the soil and harvest the produce. It is a lesson about hope and patientience.
