As we age, it feels like time goes by more quickly each day, but somehow it seems that I have missed spring, and that it is fall. The temperatures are below normal, there is rain and more rain, and I’m thinking that one day soon there will be snow. I usually complain about the heat and humidity, but right now I could use some of it.

The greeters at church on 'Mother’s Day Sunday' were Tara and Terry Taylor. Dale Goddard, whose birthday is on May 15th, visited the birthday box. The Taylor family lit the Christ Candle. Minister Stephanie’s story for the 'Young at Heart ' was about a mother raising her son, and as he grew up, she would rock him and sing to him when he was troubled. When he grew up, his mom was much older, so he took care of her by holding her, and singing the same song back to her. The choir’s anthem was “Bless this House”. Tara Taylor gave the report for M & S. Tara and John Olivero were asked to teach the Brownies and Sparks, from Prince Albert, how to make the milk bag mats and this enabled the Sparks and Brownies to earn another badge. At the close of the service Tara and Terry handed out a carnation to every mom and grandmother.
