Saturday on the Island is the place to be. There will be the Mississaugas of Scugog island First Nation Annual Arts and Crafts Show and Sale, located at the Health And Resource Centre, 1 km north of the Casino, 22600 Island Rd on the left hand side. There will be free door prizes, every hour on the hour, raffle and 50/50 tickets for purchase, many vendors, even a food vendor where you can get a Indian Taco for lunch, mmm! Everyone is welcome.
Scugog Island United Church U.C.W. is hosting their Annual Bake Sale and Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year it is being held in the lower hall of the Church. Everyone is welcome to come out to see the baked goodies.
Next Sunday the congregation will welcome Rev. Ralph Werry as the church participates in the pulpit exchange. It will also be the Faith, Food and Fellowship service.
May 1st will be the Official Board Meeting at 7 p.m.
The next Career Fair days will be, May 4th from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on May 5th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Morningstar Hospitality Services Inc. is hosting the Career Fair at the Scugog Island First Nation, Administration Building. The Career fair is for positions that will be available at the New Tim Hortons on Island Rd. The positions are staff, baker, supervisor, and manager.
