Bill and Kelly Monkman welcomed all to Sunday's Rally Day service, the beginning of another year of Sunday School for children of the community. Rev. Richard led a “Covenanting” with the children, teachers, and congregation; giving the children a special welcome. The minister's message “Rules of Conflict” encouraged anyone, whenever or wherever conflict arises, that those involved need to listen, to really hear, to have conversation, to understand, and to avoid anger and revenge.
Choir resumed 7:30 p.m. Practices start September 7th, and continues every Thursday. New and former singers are invited to come to practice and join. The choir led the congregation in two selections on Sunday.
The BBQ lunch followed the service, then games, balloons, races, prizes, and fun for all ages. Thanks goes to our BBQ cooks Gary Doble, Tom and Val Hunter. Thanks also goes to our Sunday School teachers Leslie, Holly, and Janice. The Bouncy Castle was ongoing fun too, and of course the weather was superb!
