The smiles and handshakes of the Sunday School children, who were greeters on Pentecost Sunday, and Sunday School Anniversary day, brightened another rainy morning.
Best wishes were extended to Jim and Norma Ferguson who celebrated their 41st Wedding Anniversary on June 5th. Happy Birthday to Marie Foster (June 3rd) and Ema Wassenaar (June 4th).
The Sunday School children sang, Kaine Richardson read the scriptures from Acts 2 and Psalm 104, and Rachel Martens read from John 7. Their teachers Leslie Martens, Holly Smith, and Janice Lee gave them certificates, a gift bag for pre-schoolers and Bibles to the older class. Anne St. John, clerk of session, thanked the teachers, projectionist Doug Watson, and Valerie Hunter, who was unable to attend, with tokens of appreciation for their leadership. The children also assisted the elders in serving communion, before retiring to the lower hall for children's time. There is no Sunday School class through June and July, but an activity centre is available in the sanctuary. Next Sunday is “Pet Blessing Sunday”, so please bring your children and your pets to this outdoor service. A short combined Seagrave/Greenbank meeting will follow indoors, regarding the manse funds division.
