Father's Day Weekend brought more rain and thunderstorms, putting a damper on outdoor activities. We hope next Saturday, June 24th, the sun will shine on Greenbank's Canada 150th Celebration, at Ianson Park! You and your family are invited to join the party, meet your new neighbours, decorate your tricycles, bicycles, wagons, mini-tractors, your pets, or something else, for the Parade.
Cragg Rd. East will be closed between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. for the 4 p.m. Parade.
Giant potluck. Please bring a main dish or salad. Hot dogs, cake and drinks will be provided. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. June 25th at 1 p.m. at Seagrave. Canada's 150th Historical Tour is with Paul Arculus and Larry Doble. Light refreshments at the Seagrave Church will follow. All are welcome.
With Seagrave's church closed in July, Seagrave people will be most welcome at Greenbank's July church services.
Judy and Jim Gibson greeted all to Sunday service which included thoughts on Father's Day; some history by Stuart B. Of Indigenous people locally; the choir leading all in singing the 1st Nation chant “Hey, Ney, Yana”; Pauline's M and S info, of the only United Church Museum located near Chatham, On., the Fairfield Museum, which dates back to 1735, when Missionaries came to the Deleware Nations. Rev. Parker's message was titled “Preach to Your Own”, our mission to spread the Word.
On July 2nd, bring your thoughts to share on “Why You Love Canada”. The 11 a.m. Service will celebrate Canada's 150 years since Confederation.
July 10th to 14th Plans are being made for the Youth Canoe Trip with Juli, 905-985-2006, for 5 days on Madawaska R. The cost is $125 per person, for Grades 9-12. Space is limited, so call now.

Wednesday, June 28th, is Greenbank Public School's “Play day” in the morning, then at 12:30 there will be a Talent Show and Goodbye Assembly. June 29th is the last day of school this year, it will have a 2:50 p.m. “Clap Out” and Dismissal.
