Snow is gently falling as I write on Sunday night. A white Christmas is maybe on its way!
On Friday night the twenty Sunday School children didn't disappoint with their bell choir, and dramatization in song and narration of “A birthday party for Jesus”. It was so well performed!
The Blacklight Puppeteers third performance, once more, was enjoyed by a full church. The Puppeteers took their show on the road to Port Perry Villa Sunday night, for the residents and others, sharing the Christmas message and other entertaining numbers. The leaders of both Sunday School and the puppeteers, and all the children, and youth did a superb job!
Sunday, December 17th at 7:30 p.m., Advent III Christmas Cantata is at Greenbank church. It is titled “Magnificat”, by Stu Beaudoin, with choir and orchestra, as well as sing along carols. Come celebrate the joy of God's Gift to all! Everyone is welcome!
December 24th, Greenbank Church will have two services celebrating the blessings of Christmas-morning. There is a service at 11 a.m., then in the evening at 7:30 p.m. There is a Christmas Eve service for all.
December 31st, the 11 a.m. service with Rev. Richard and Stephanie Richmond, our new student intern in ministry, is the last official service for Rev. Richard and Marcia. This will be a special time for you to attend. There will be no Sunday School December 24th or December 31st, but classes will resume January 7th, 2018.
January 8th, Women's Faith Group begins with leader M. A. Lamb. The study book is Betty Turcott's “And She Said...”.
Friday, January 19th, 2018 at 7:30 p.m., “Trashion Fashion Show” will be held at the church. See Evening U.C.W. members for tickets $15, or call Deb at 905-985-2090 or Carla at 905-985-1908. All welcome.
Please continue to bring Foodbank items through December.

January 13th, 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. is Rev. Richard and Marcia's retirement and appreciation party, at Seagrave Church for Greenbank and Seagrave Pastoral charge. There is a potluck luncheon. There will be a basket for cards. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Better health is wished for Earl Phoenix in Oshawa Hospital, Marie Foster in Uxbridge Hospital, and any others who are ill and need our prayers.
A Lions Service was held at the Hall, December 6th, in memory of John Bruce, who was a Lion for some time.
Saturday, January 13th, 2018, Greenbank Folk Music begins the New Year, with folk artist Scott Merritt.
Bid euchre continues Friday nights, at 7:30 p.m., at the hall.
At the Township of Scugog Community Volunteer Award and Appreciation night, December 7th, Marilyn Loder received a certificate for 10 years volunteering on the Greenbank Hall Board. Congratulations to Marilyn and all volunteers for the time they've been given.
The public school has its winter concert coming up on Tuesday, December 19th, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Donations of items for the Wednesday, December 20th, Christmas Store at GPS, are still being accepted.
