Condolences to the Somerville Family on the recent passing of Len's brother John. Friday afternoon, Betty Somerville met for her six month reunion, with eight of her Epsom girlfriends, for a visit and lunch. These are girls who grew up together in Epsom and continue to be great friends.
Greeters this Sunday were Jane Pettinger and Verna Gagnon. We have acquired a family, through Operation Scugog, for a Christmas basket of items. Items must be at the church no later than Sunday the 17th. There is a list of items, which have been requested, in the Great Room. We will also be contributing to the Scugog Food Bank. There will be a box for non-perishable items in the sanctuary from now until December 17th. Tara Taylor announced we no longer will be collecting Campbell soup labels and cards as these programs have been cancelled. We will still be collecting stamps and reading glasses, however.
There are a few soft cushions in the Great Room for use in the sanctuary if you wish.
The choir sang a meaningful version of “Hallelujah”, under the direction of Joan Lee. The sermon “My Journey” was given by Wendy Hughes. It is important to trust in God and learn to listen for the messages which are sent to you through many sources. Focus on being a shepherd and trust where you are being led by the power of the Holy Spirit. Wendy said she is blessed to be a child of God. She also thanked Rev. Richard and Marcia for their guidance through her journey.
