The Caesarea-Nestleton Euchre Club is saddened by the passing of Marilyn Trunks on November 15th, and we offer our condolences to Don and family. Marilyn will be greatly missed by all of us.
Thursday night's euchre results were: Dawn McComb came in first. Peter Booth came in second and had seven lone hands. Third was Alma Manns. There was a three way tie for fourth between Marg Cayer, Brigitte Moase, and Rick Fink. Pat Currie came in fifth and Gord Paisley had the low score.
Congratulations to all of our winners and we look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
Caesarea-Nestleton Euchre is held every Thursday (except holidays) at 7:30 p.m. in the Nestleton Community Hall; everyone is welcome.
Blackstock & District Lions Club
In preparation for assembling our Christmas arrangements, we have been busy, from filling pots with soil to finding the necessary spruce, cedar, pine, balsam and boxwood. Thank you to Lions Carol & Rob Mairs for hosting our members on Saturday as we put together over 60 arrangements, and thank you to Dawn Roberts and family for assembling another group at her home. They are available now from any Lions member and you can inquire of Connie at Penny’s in Blackstock. You might find a photo on Facebook. The price is $20 each, or two for $35. Profits are directed toward projects in the community.
We discovered this week that three activities can function at the same time at the Blackstock Recreation Centre. The fair board met in the community room on Wednesday evening, at the same time as our Lions hosted a region dinner meeting in the main hall, while running a club meeting in the foyer at the same time. Thank you to everyone for your co-operation.
Happy Birthday to Lion Keith Brown on November 23rd. Make it memorable!
