Caesarea Nestleton Euchre
We had a smaller group than usual, of 28 euchre enthusiasts, who came out for our pizza night last Thursday.
Here are the evening's results: Dawn McComb came in first. Pat Currie came in second and had the most lone hands. Congratulations Pat. Harold Crawford was third. Lorna Edgerton came in fourth and Norm Lackner finished in fifth place. Jocelyn Bradbury and Eileen Nelson tied for low score. Congratulations everyone and see you on Thursday. Caesarea-Nestleton Euchre is held every Thursday (except holidays) at 7:30 p.m. in the Nestleton Community Hall, everyone is welcome.
Blackstock & District Lions Club
Just back from our Multiple District Lions Convention in Kitchener, where we welcomed our incoming Lions Clubs International President, Naresh Aggarwal, and his wife Navita from Batala, Punjab, India. Since his focus this coming year is to increase the level of service to each of our communities, we all have our work cut out for us, since with more service, we’ll need more hands. Speak to one of our Lions if you can help us, or call me at 905-697-4821 and ask for Lion Eleanor.
Be sure to drop by Cartwright Fields on Highway 7A in Nestleton on Saturday, May 27th, to check out our annual Car Show. Note the sign at the entrance for details, or contact our chairperson, Lion Keith, at 905-986-5603.
