Due to the brutally cold weather, our first euchre of 2018 had a smaller than usual turnout of just 24 people, but even though it was a small group, we had a lot of fun.
Here are the evening’s results: Delaine Dyer came in first. Bill Churchill finished in second place. Alma Manns came in third. Doug Day was fourth and Val Priebe, Shirley Oldfield, and Gord Paisley tied for fifth place. Brigitte Moase and Delaine Dyer tied for the most lone hands, while Jocelyn Bradbury had the low score.
Congratulations to all of our winners and we look forward to seeing you on Thursday evening.
Caesarea-Nestleton Euchre is held every Thursday, except holidays, at 7:30 p.m. in the Nestleton Community Hall; everyone is welcome.
Blackstock & District Lions Club
Our club was honoured recently to receive a 150 Award from MP Erin O’Toole in recognition of our service to the community. There is a certificate displayed in a folder as well as a pin. We hope to display this publicly soon.
Keep in mind as you plan the details of a Jack & Jill or a wedding reception or an anniversary, our Lions are set up to do your bar for you. To inquire about the details, just call Lion Al at 905-986-0957.
