Blackstock & District Lions
The Canadian Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centre (CLERC) is a ‘victim of its own success’. Due to processing elevated totals of glasses (900,000 pairs placed on people’s faces in the last two years in 92 countries), CLERC’s supply is in need of an infusion of glasses. The ratio is: one pair of glasses is recycled for every pair of usable glasses. To that end, we have a collection box in Caesarea at Sunnyside Market and we have recently placed one at Wellness Shield Pharmacy in Blackstock. Please take advantage of this opportunity to help. Our Lions will collect the glasses periodically and send them on to the recycling centre.
As this is the last publication before Christmas Day, I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.
