Brennan Malcolm and Sarah Ross eloped and were married in Toronto on September 1st. The happily newlywed couple, is enjoying two weeks in Italy before returning to Blackstock. Congratulations!

Our community lost another senior citizen with the passing of Murial Wotten. The celebration of her life will be held at the United Church on Tuesday September 12th, at 11 a.m. at the United Church. Visitation will be the day before, in the afternoon and evening, at Waggs in Port Perry.

Godie Malcolm of Duncan, B.C., is visiting his mother Noreen Malcolm, and other relatives and friends for a week.
Mark your calendars for September 24th, for the United Church’s Harvest Beef Supper at the Rec. Centre, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. This supper will feature beef from the Swains and vegetables from the Lintons.
The winners at the Tuesday evening card party were: Keith VanCamp with the amazing score of 99, He also had the most lone hands, 6. Second was Henni Povey, third was Mary Lou Breward, fourth Marilyn Trunks, fifth was Diane Slute and Ellen Gibson. Low was Harold Crawford. The specials were won by Jocelyn Bradbury, Pat Allemong, Doris Manns, and Audrey Middleton.
