Another large crowd attended the Decoration Service at Union Cemetery. Rev. Jennifer Uhrrtniw conducted the impressive service on a lovely afternoon.
Congratulations to Richard and Jessie Bowles who celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, as well as Jessie’s birthday, with a family gathering on Saturday.

Alaina Malcolm was the guest of honour at a baby shower, attended by relatives and friends on Sunday afternoon. She received many lovely gifts.
Wednesday evening, there will be the monthly Fair Board meeting, held at the Rec. Centre meeting room, at 7:30 p.m. All members are urged to attend.
The 25th of June is going to be a very busy day. It begins with a joint service at Nestleton Church at 10 a.m. for the closing of that church, followed by a finger food pot luck lunch. In the afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m., there will be a come and go birthday for Gord Paisley, at Nestleton Waters inn. In the evening is the annual Strawberry supper, sponsored by Blackstock United at the Rec. Centre.
Winners at the Tuesday evening card party were: Elmo Gibson, Ellen Gibson, Don Trunks, Shirley Oldfield, Jocelyn Bradbury and low Joe Goldsmith. Elmo Gibson and Jocelyn Bradbury had the most lone hands, The specials were won by Eileen Nelson, Doreen Sheehey, Alma Manns and Hennie Povey.
