The 18th annual cantata at the morning service entitled, “Come, First Born Light”, was a delightful mix of music and word. A large congregation enjoyed it and the lunch that followed.
Next Sunday will be the regular service at 9:45 a.m and a Family Christmas Eve service at 7:00 p.m.,You are welcome to attend either or both.
The Free walking program, which happens each Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at the Rec. Centre, will not happen either Christmas or Boxing Day. Details of the walking program, as well as the skating times will be posted on the door. These are great opportunities to work off those extra pounds.
The Blackstock euchre Club held a delicious turkey dinner, before cards on Tuesday evening. The winners were: 1st Joe Goldsmith, 2nd Brian Allemang, 3rd Keith VanCamp and Minnie Asling, 6th a tie with George Koppins, Pat Curry, George Wind and Norm Lackner. Norm Lackner also had the most lone hands. Henny Povey and Heidi Krieg were tied for mid score. The winners of the specials were Wilma VanCamp, Elmo Gibson, Norm Lackner, and Jocelyn Bradbury.
There will be no card party on Boxing Day.
