It's not too late to sign up for the Over 40 Ladies Lob Ball League. All games are played at the Seagrave Ball Diamond on Tuesday nights from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. throughout the month of August. On Wednesday, May 22nd, the Blackstock Co-op Nursery School (BCNS) is hosting it's Annual Open House from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Blackstock Recreation Centre at 3440 Church Street. The orientation and information session provides an opportunity to meet the teachers, as well as currently enrolled students and their parents, while the children explore the classroom. BCNS will be accepting applications for the 2019-2020 school year. Registration will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. One and two-day programs run Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The BCNS maintains small class sizes and exceptionally low staff turnover. Sandie Barnes, supervisor and head teacher, has been with BCNS for over eight years. She holds a International Degree (UK) in Education, with Honours, specializing in Early Learning. Barnes also serves as Group Commissioner for the 1st Port Perry Scouts and was a recipient of the "Mayor’s Honour Roll" at the Township’s Annual New Year's Levee on January 6th, 2019. Licensed by the Ministry of Education, BCNS is a non-profit organization committed to providing a positive learning experience for children from 18 months to 4 years old. They have been providing service in the Blackstock and surrounding area for over 40 years. The Toddler and JK Readiness Programs offer two fee levels. Parents have the option to become actively involved in their child’s first education experience, and will enjoy a lower monthly tuition.
The Blackstock Minor Hockey League will be holding thier Annual General Meeting on Thursday, May 23rd, at 6 p.m. at the Blackstock Recreation Centre. All are welcome.
On Saturday, May 25th, Nate Alpe and Kayla Wright's 'Trailer Trash Buck and Doe' will kick off at the Nestleton Community Hall. It will be a fun evening of drinks, games, raffle prizes and dancing. Doors open at 8 p.m. Please come out in your best trailer trash or redneck attire. Tickets are $10, and can be purchased in advance by calling Patti Keuning at (905)431-3473, or at the door.
Euchre winners for Tuesday, April 30th: Linda Carder came in first, Jocelyn Bradbury finished in second, Doug Day was third, and Ellen Gibson finished in fourth.Pat Currie came in fifth, and George Wind had the most lone hands. Edith Dobbs had the mid score.

Blackstock euchre is held every Tuesday evening (except holidays) at 7:30 p.m. in the Blackstock United Church Hall. Everyone is welcome.
