City advises residents to use online options to receive and pay bills in advance of a possible Canada Post labour disruption
KAWARTHA LAKES—The City of Kawartha Lakes is encouraging all property owners to register to receive property tax bills and water and/or sewer bills electronically to avoid delays in the event of a possible Canada Post Labour Disruption.
Registering for e-billing is free and available by visiting www.epost.ca. Have your property tax or water/sewer bill handy as you will need information from your most recent bill to register.
In the event of a Canada Post Labour Disruption later this month, water/sewer customers that would normally receive a bill in July may pick up their bill at their local municipal service centre starting Wednesday July 6.
Areas that will receive bills in July are:
For customers that live in the above areas and cannot make it to the local municipal service centre to obtain their bill, please call 705-324-9411 to obtain the amount of the most recent bill. Please be sure to have your previous bill in hand when calling as staff will be asking questions related to that bill for security purposes.
The City offers a number of payment options for customers including preauthorized payments (monthly and due date), through your bank (electronically or in person), and in person at one of our municipal service centres. Please note late payment charges will not be waived if the payment is not received in our office on or before the due date of the invoice.
