Uxbridge library hours update

COURTNEY McCLURE, for The Standard

UXBRIDGE: The Uxbridge Public Library and Zephyr library have updated their business hours.

The adult and children departments are open for public browsing, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. You can browse both sections without booking an appointment.

There are also public computers available. You can book an appointment by calling 905-852-9747.

During this time, there is no capacity limit within the library. But visitors are asked to wear a mask and to keep six feet apart from other clients and to have their name and phone number handy for contact tracing purposes.

The Zephyr location is open for express pick-up on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is also open during the first and third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Uxbridge library staff encourages interested persons to check out their new eResources. You can try PressReader if you’re interested in reading digital copies of magazines or newspapers. Or you can try ComicsPlus if you enjoy reading graphic novels and comics. Their digital collection is always open during the library’s operation hours, to access it, you’ll need your library card and a password. You can find links to these eResources on the Uxbridge library website at ux.lib.com.

There are also drop-in workspaces available at the Uxbridge library location. There are two available workspaces upstairs in the library, you can use either of these spaces for one hour by signing in at the adult desk. There are five additional workstations available downstairs in the meeting room which can be used for two hours. Please sign at the children’s department to access the downstairs spaces. Please bring your own device if you’re coming to use these stations.
