Update on COVID-19 cases in local communities

NORTH DURHAM/KAWARTHA: COVID-19 cases remain active in local communities in North Durham and Kawartha Lakes.

According to the Durham Region Health Department, Uxbridge has 18 active cases as of press time. To date, Uxbridge has had 28 deaths and 1,154 resolved cases.

Scugog has eight active cases. Since the start of the pandemic, Scugog has had 18 deaths and 1,042 resolved cases.

Brock Township also has eight active cases. To date, Brock has had four deaths and 594 resolved cases. Meanwhile, according to the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit, Kawartha Lakes has 38 active cases. Since the start of 2022, Kawartha Lakes has had 17 deaths, and 1,916 resolved cases.
