UXBRIDGE: Three Toronto men are facing charges in connection with the theft of multiple bottles of alcohol from a local Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) store. According to Durham police, on Monday, November 4th, officers were called regarding the theft of alcohol from the LCBO outlet on Welwood Drive in Uxbridge. Witnesses reported seeing two males enter the store at approximately 6:45 p.m., fill a suitcase and a duffle bag with bottles of alcohol and then leave without paying. After leaving the store, a customer followed their vehicle and relayed their position to the Durham Regional Police Services (DRPS). At approximately 7:15 p.m., West Division officers stopped the vehicle at Brock Road and Dersan Street in Pickering and located three males inside. They also located a suitcase and a duffel bag full of unopened alcohol bottles with a value of approximately $4,000. Officers also located a small quantity of crack cocaine. They identified the two of the males as being involved in several other LCBO thefts in Durham Region. Maurice Antoine, 48 years old, is facing charges of possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000, unlawfully possessing a schedule 1 substance (crack cocaine) and four counts of theft under $5,000. They held him for a bail hearing. Ricardo Charleston, 42 years old, is charged with possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000, and unlawfully possessing a schedule 1 substance (crack cocaine). They later released him on a Promise to Appear. Trevel Provo, 37 years old, is charged with possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000, unlawfully possessing a schedule 1 substance (crack cocaine), four counts of theft under $5,000, failing to comply with recognizance and seven counts of failing to comply with probation order. They held him for a bail hearing.
