KAWARTHA LAKES: The Merry & Bright Festival features almost 1km of light displays created by local individuals, businesses, and organizations!
The drive-through Festival of lights is a joint fundraiser for the Lindsay Agricultural Society,United Way for the City of Kawartha Lakes, BGC Kawarthas, Kawartha Food Source, Lindsay Lions Club, and Heritage Christian School.
In 2020, the Lindsay Agricultural Society hosted the Merry & Bright Festival for the first time as a way to raise money for the partner organizations, all of whom missed the opportunity to fundraise at the 2020 LEX due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was very successful in its first year, providing each partner organization with over$5,000 in donations.
We are excited to be hosting the Merry & Bright Festival again this year from December 15th to the 23rd at the LEX grounds. We look forward to presenting partner organizations with even more donations to support their important contributions to the community.

Get Involved!
There are numerous ways to support the Merry & Bright Festival! This year we are offering several ways to help local businesses and community members get involved in supporting the Festival. We understand that only some have the time or the help to build a display to help make the Festival spectacular, so we have created several advertising and display purchase options to suit a variety of budgets.
Build, Buy, or Rent
Do you want to put up a display but don’t have the time or extra hands to build something? We have tons of fantastic pre-built light displays available for purchase or rent. If you purchase a pre-built light display, the display is yours for use in 2022 and all future festivals. As well, we will include an illuminated sign thanking you for your support of the Festival and will store it between festivals. A one-year rental has your business name thanked for contributing to the 2022 festival on an illuminated sign beside your chosen display.
Another option is to have your business name in acustom-designed light projection for all to see! These are projected on the barns in a loop. We can mix holiday graphics with a custom holiday greeting.
Are displays not your thing? Why not purchase advertising on one of our Horse Drawn Wagons, put your name on every cup of hot chocolate served, or put your logo on each Gingerbread Man cookie handed out?
Lastly, we are always looking for additional volunteers to help staff the Festival. Are your people your greatest asset? Send them our way!Volunteering at the Festival is fun and rewarding!Send us your staff for an evening to volunteer at the Festival, or consider purchasing a group ticket to visit the Festival together as a fun way to celebrate the Holidays.
