BROCK: Tis the season for Santa Claus Parades, and Brock will be busy over the coming weeks, with parades planned for Beaverton, Cannington and Sunderland.
The festivities get underway on Friday, November 17th in Beaverton. The parade is presented by the Beaverton Lions Club and begins at the Beaverton Fairgrounds. The parade then travels along Main Street to Simcoe Street, continuing to Osborne Street, and then Bay Street continuing its loop back to the Fairgrounds. Following the parade, Santa will be hosting a free open house at the Beaverton Fire Hall, located at 360 Bay Street.
The following weekend, on Saturday, November 25th, at 11 a.m. Santa Claus will visit Cannington for their 76th annual edition of the annual parade, presented by the Cannington Lions Club. The parade will depart from the Rick MacLeish Community Centre and continue down Peace Street to Cameron Street Food bank donations will be collected along the route.
Finally, on Saturday, December 9th, Santa makes his glorious return to Sunderland as part of a full day of activities. From 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., guests can enjoy breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Sunderland branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Later in the day, there will be a free public skating event at Sunderland Arena from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. The day wraps up with a dazzling display of lights for the annual parade, which departs from the Arena at 7 p.m.
