Port Perry Pet Show back by popular demand

SCUGOG: Organizers Paul Puckrin and his daughter Julie are thrilled to announce the Port Perry Fair Pet Show is back again this year. It will take place on Monday, September 5th, in the Entertainment Shelter, at the Port Perry Fair. Registration is at 9:30 a.m., and the Pet Show begins at 10:00 a.m. All kinds of pets are welcome! Each pet must be accompanied by a child aged 12 or under, and an adult, and be on a leash, or in a cage.

Julie Puckrin said, “When I was growing up I always loved this show, so I am so glad to be working with my dad to make it happen again. It’s so much fun, and gives the kids a chance to show off their pets.”

Prizes of 1st ($15), 2nd ($10) and 3rd ($5) will be given to the winners in five categories this year!

The categories are as follows:

1. Best Costume

2. Best Trick – A trick of your choosing – show off your pet’s talent!

3. Best Pet Joke – Young owners, tell us your funniest material!

4. Most Unusual Pet – Any and all varieties of pets are welcome!

5. Temptation Alley/Least Obedient Pet – Come prepared to lead your pet (on a leash) past a tempting array of treats and toys. The pet who successfully completes the gauntlet in the fastest time, wins!
