UXBRIDGE: Construction is complete on the new playground equipment in Herrema Park, and the playground is open to the public. This autumn, the playground equipment was replaced as part of the regular replacement cycle.
The public was consulted as part of the design of the replacement playground, and the list of features that were important to residents included the following:
•Play structures suitable for children 5 to 12 years of age.
•A structure with a bridge and slide, as well as other stand-alone features
•A climbing and motion feature as part of the playground components.
•Double swings side by side.
•Vibrant and bright colours.
The playground was completed in December 2022.
