Maple Syrup Tours are here

DURHAM: Durham Region farmers will offer behind-the-scenes virtual farm tours throughout 2021.

Each tour will be hosted by a farmer and will share a beyond-the-farm gate view of many different types of farms. The tours will be broadcast live from the organization’s Facebook page and will be available for on-demand viewing, after the broadcast, for a period of one week.

Tours have been confirmed on many different types of farms, including: beef cattle, maple syrup, egg, greenhouse, field crop, dairy, apple orchard, sheep, peas & strawberries, hay, herb (specialty tea), wheat, apple cider, field vegetable & fruit farms and a flower farm, with more to be added.

Over 15 tours will be offered, starting: on March 18th, at 3:30 p.m., at a Beef Farm; March 25th, at a Maple Syrup Bush & Sugar Shack; and April 8th, at 4:30 p.m., at an Egg Farm. Virtual farm tours will continue until the end of 2021.
