I write regarding the remembrance of Ross James, in the August 27th issue, and Chuck Willes in the Real Estate ad on page 3, in the September 3rd issue of The Standard. I believe the things that make us most human and humane are feelings and emotions. These attributes, and the ability to control and express them, seem in short supply in the news we now hear and in light of the restrictive demands of Covid-19. How amazing, refreshing and nostalgic it was to read and feel the loving humanity in the above-mentioned articles/items. Under the circumstances I don’t necessarily wish for more of the same, but just want to comment publicly and laud the authors for their love, care and humanity. Would that each and everyone could be so honoured.
