Driving into Uxbridge on Saturday, I was so unusually surprised to count 11 swans on the east side of Elgin Pond. I phoned my friend Helen to verify if they were swans or white geese, but they were swans. Helen had seen 14 fly in just recently. It was exciting to see.
This week, we want to offer condolences to Judy and Doug MacSween in the passing of Judy’s nephew, the son of her sister, who passed away just two weeks ago. So sad for all the family. I hope everyone has stayed upright with all this ice created by the rain and slight melt this past week.
The community is invited to a potluck lunch at noon on Tuesday, February 13th. This is Shrove Tuesday, and maybe we all have things to clear from our fridges in preparation for Lent. We invite you to do so and come and join your neighbours for lunch at Epsom United Church.
Come to worship with Rev. Edith Ann at Epsom United Church on Sunday, February 4th, at 10:30 a.m. and stay for fellowship following the service.
