EPSOM & UTICA by Faye Ashton

Medd road has been busy, busy with all the activity at Otters Greenhouse. The flowers and vegetables are a sure sign Spring has really sprung. The very hot weather this week has left some of us wilted like our daffodils and tulips begging for a cool drink.

On Saturday, May 28th, from 2 to 5 p.m. an open house will be held at the Cannington Legion by the family of the late Joe Jordan, for those wishing to pay their respect. Joe grew up here in Epsom, on Medd Road with two sisters and a brother. They attended Epsom Public School and Port Perry High High School.

Utica Cemetery Board Decoration Service will be held on Sunday, June 12th at 2 p.m., at Utica United Church.

For all our friends who celebrated and will be celebrating this month may you enjoy an awesome birthday and a special anniversary day.

What an unexpected earth reviving rain is falling right now (7 p.m.) which was preceded with three rumbles of thunder seemingly out of no where. I hope this will bring a slight cooling trend.

So many unexpected blessings. On Sunday, May 29th at 10 a.m. Rev. Edith Ann will lead the congregation at Epsom United Church, in worship with fellowship to follow.
