Brooks Farms open for pumpkin picking

COURTNEY McCLURE, for The Standard

NORTH DURHAM: Brooks Farms has opened their pumpkin patch again, but things will be run a little differently this year. In light of the Covid-19 restrictions and precautions, families visiting the patch are asked to drive across the street to select their pumpkins. Wagons rides will not be in service. According to their Facebook post, apple picking is closed for the season, as well. No registration is required for Playland or picking your own pumpkin. The tickets are $16 dollars and can be purchased upon arrival at the farm. Once the farm reaches capacity for the day, admissions will be closed and tickets will no longer be sold. Arriving early is recommended. Masks are mandatory and must be worn at all times while at the farm or the pumpkin patch and playground. Playland and Pick Your Own Pumpkins is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Late entry is at 4 p.m. The farmers’ market opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. For more information regarding Covid-19 precautions and guidelines or any questions concerning your time at the farm, please visit their website at www.brooksfarms.com.
