Brock Street West reopen to the public and traffic

COURTNEY McCLURE, for The Standard

UXBRIDGE: Replacement of the Brock Street culvert has been completed in Uxbridge.

The road officially reopened to pedestrians and vehicles on Friday, October 30th, at 6 p.m. The sidewalk on the north side of the street has also been reopened for public use.

Construction to replace the culvert is still continuing south of Brock Street, though. Centennial Drive remains closed and will continue to be inaccessible for the remainder of 2020.

The parking area north of Brock Street has been paved by construction crews but is still closed to the public. A parking map is available, at www.uxbridgeculvert.ca and from local businesses. The map was made so visitors will have a better understanding of where they can park in the area. It will also help them get around the construction on Centennial Drive.

The Township of Uxbridge expressed their thanks to residents for their patience, as they proceed with the final stages of culvert construction.
