UXBRIDGE: Santa Claus will be making his annual return to Uxbridge this Saturday, Nov. 19th, when the 56th Uxbridge Santa Claus parade rolls through the town.
The parade is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Over 100 floats will make their way from the corner of Brock St. and Centre Rd., heading east on Brock St. to Nelkydd Ln., and will finish at Uxbridge Secondary School.
The theme for this year’s parade is ‘a Christmas Toy Story.’ Organizers are once again encouraging children to bring their letters for Santa to the event, as Canada Post will be collecting them. The high school parking lot will be used for parade floats to unload, then exit onto Plank Lane, before heading west to Main St. The organizers are asking that people not park in this area, as it will cause congestion for the floats.
At the end of the parade, people are invited to the Uxbridge Legion, at 109 Franklin St, where the Ladies Auxiliary will be serving hot dogs and hot chocolate. For more information, visit www.uxbridgesantaclausparade.com.
