SCUGOG: Santa Claus will be making his way through Port Perry on the evening of Saturday, Dec. 3rd, when the 2016 edition of the Santa Claus parade rolls through town.
The parade is scheduled to leave the fairgrounds at 5 p.m., travelling along Reach St. to Simcoe St., heading south to Queen St., then turning onto Water St. before finishing up on Mary St.
The theme for this year’s parade, annually put on by the Scugog Chamber of Commerce and the Port Perry Lions Club, is ‘Christmas in Toyland.’
Organizers are asking that all floats be at the fairgrounds by 4 p.m. on parade day.
There will be awards for best light show, most detailed “Small Town Christmas” theme, best junior float, and best all around float, up for grabs.
