SCUGOG: Pizza Hut has recently opened a franchise in Port Perry.
The restaurant, located at 1535 Hwy 7A, officially opened on Saturday, December 10th.
"It was very busy, the weekend was phenomenal," owner Kenny Patel told The Standard.
Mr. Patel also explained why he decided to open this franchise in Port Perry.
"We saw the opportunity for a big brand to come to town, and Pizza Hut is always the best on their pizzas and wings, and the town was lacking just that," he said.
The owner said the quality of their product is what separates Pizza Hut from other pizza places in the area.
"Our deep dish pan pizzas are one of our signature pizzas. They are the best in the industry and our traditional wings, boneless wings are one of the best."
Mr. Patel has been in the culinary industry for about 10 years. He said his favourite part about being a Pizza Hut owner is providing a quality product to local customers.
"Just making pizzas and serving the best pizzas in town. I love that I am associated with one of the best brands and that makes me proud and my team is proud of that as well," he said.
Mr. Patel said the Scugog community has been very welcoming, since they first opened their doors.
"I really appreciate the local community, the local staff, customers and I thank each and every one of them," he said. "We're very glad that we are here, and we just ask for their continued support."
