SCUGOG: Multiple people were treated for injuries after a crash on Simcoe St., in Port Perry, on Wednesday, Aug. 3.
Police were called to the scene at Simcoe St., near Kellett St., at 1:03 p.m. According to police, a grey Ford pickup truck was backing out of a driveway when it was struck by another vehicle, and rolled over into a utility pole.
Police said there were two people in the truck and one in the car, and the injuries are being considered very minor.
The driver of the truck is being charged with failing to yield from a driveway.
Local resident and emergency nurse, Carole Edwards told The Standard she was in her kitchen at the time of the accident. Her husband, Gary Edwards, heard the crash, and Mrs. Edwards decided to go see if she could be of any assistance. However, by the time she got to the scene, paramedics already had the situation under control.
