SCUGOG: The Moose Pub and Grill in Port Perry held their official grand opening on Friday, Dec. 9.
The business is owned by Nichole Pot and Jeevan Eliathamby. Nichole explained why they chose the name ‘The Moose’
“We were trying to think of a Canadian type theme and we came up with the moose and we thought it was a great idea,” she said.
The restaurant features pool tables, arcade style games and they will also be starting up dart leagues.
Nichole said people should come to the Moose because they have “great food at fair prices.”
“They should definitely come to check out our food. Once they come, they will love it,” Nichole promised.
Nichole also mentioned that the most popular menu items so far are the chicken wings, burgers as well as all of their lunch specials.
When it comes to the design of the business, Nichole said they were looking to create “something a little more modern” as well as to create a comfortable atmosphere.
The business, located at 1894 Scugog St., also has plenty of parking. Nichole encourages everyone to come check out The Moose.
