UXBRIDGE: A male was arrested and charged, after he fled the scene of a collision, where he intentionally striking a male victim in Uxbridge on Thursday, July 27th.
At approximately 7:00 p.m., members from North Division responded to Ravenshoe Rd., in Uxbridge, for a 'fail to remain collision', involving a pedestrian. A 55-year-old Uxbridge male was struck by a vehicle driven by the suspect. The suspect fled the scene, leaving the injured male with serious injuries. The victim was taken to a local hospital.
Investigators arrested the suspect shortly after the incident. A 53-year-old male, from Pefferlaw, is charged with: Assault with a Weapon; Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm; Fail to Remain Cause Bodily Harm and Aggravated Assault. The suspect also faces domestic related charges stemming from a historical sex assault. He also faces charges of: Sexual Assault with a Weapon; Criminal Harassment; Assault with a Weapon and Uttering Death Threats x4. The suspect was held for a bail hearing.
