UXBRIDGE: Oak Ridges Hospice of Durham will be holding their second annual Hike for Hospice event this Sunday, May 5th.
This time, the walk will be held in Elgin Park in Uxbridge. Registration will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m., and then the walk will take place from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. A barbecue will follow the completion of the walk.
Participants can choose either a 1 km or 5 km route.
Registration is $20 for adults, and children under 18 can register for free. All of the money raised will support the Oak Ridges Hospice "Building for Compassionate Care" capital campaign.
The Oak Ridges Hospice will be a five bed hospice and will be located at the former site of the Immaculate Conception Catholic School, at 1722 Scugog St. in Port Perry.
