A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 1 to 4 p.m., with the Community, First Nation Members, Elders, Chief, Council and the Port Perry Chamber of Commerce. Food and beverages will be provided by the Board of Directors of Noozhoo Nokiiyan Limited Partnership (NNLP), along with live entertainment for the afternoon and cake to finalize our celebration.
This event is free and open to the public. NNLP is the business corporation of the First Nation. The Board of Directors have worked diligently to streamline the business entities, functions and structures for future development.
The Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation has grown and changed substantially since opening The Blue Heron Casino. Our new retail plaza will be the flagship business, as we grow and diversify our business ventures. One notion, that remains and always will, is our commitment to, the surrounding communities and local marketplace, and to extend our cultural warmth through our reconciliation efforts, while being the best service provider on the Island.
On August 13th, 2017, the NNLP Board of Directors will extend a warm welcome: “After years of planning, and many hard-working days, we can now see signs of the beginning of a prosperous and vital contribution to the broader community, and we are excited to share this news with our neighbours and supporters.”
NNLP would like to thank local businesses and customers for their support and we look forward to seeing you on August 13th, 2017.
