KAWARTHAS: Cottage Country is hosting their 2nd annual Christmas Craft Show at the Lindsay Exhibition Grounds, on December 3rd.
Over 100 vendors will be selling handmade crafts, which include pottery, stained glass, wood working and turning, home décor, knitted items, handmade jewellery and metal work.
100 per cent of the money raised from admission, the coffee bar, and all the raffles will go towards supporting Electric City Special Needs Hockey, in Peterborough.
The organization helps children and adults, who have special needs, play hockey in a safe and friendly atmosphere. The charity is open to people of all ages, living with any special needs, and there is no skating or hockey experience required.
“It’s an excellent way to support the special needs community,” said Stuart Booth, event organizer.
He added, coming to the event is also an excellent way to get some Christmas shopping done, while supporting a good cause. Last year almost 1500 people attended, according to Stuart, the event raised over $7,000.
“It’s the biggest craft show of the year in Lindsay, and everyone will have a great time,” He said.
The Christmas Craft show runs from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, December 3rd, at the Lindsay Exhibition Grounds, located on 354 Angeline Street South.
“Come on out,” Stuart said, “It’s a huge show and there’s something for everyone here.”
