SCUGOG: The annual Blackstock Fair and Demolition Derby will take place this weekend.
On Friday, Aug. 26th, the Demolition Derby will be starting at 7 p.m. at the Blackstock Fairgrounds. The board is promising the biggest and best Demolition Derby this area has seen, for a number of years.
There will be more cars, more crashes and the biggest purses ever offered at the Blackstock Demolition Derby. There will also be Power wheels for kids, pro stock, minis, straight stock, trucks and the Soccer Moms class.
Admission into the derby is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
On Saturday, Aug. 27th, the 151st Blackstock Fair will be held, from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
This year’s theme is “Flower Power.” There will be no midway this year. However, BlackRock Climbers are bringing their jumping castles, and there will also be a 4 person Olympic Jousting game, and a 55 ft. climbing wall.
Kids who buy a $5 wristband will be able to play all day.
Drop in to Kid's World for free activities, sign up for the ever popular pedal tractor pull, see cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, 4-H competitions, garden tractor pulls, chainsaw carving demonstrations, flower and herb demos, and so much more.
The annual parade will leave Cartwright Central Public School, at 10:30 a.m.
