Many Seagravers attended the Trashion Fashion Show in Greenbank, on Friday evening. Anne St. John did an excellent job as the M.C. It was an entertaining evening with lots of laughter and fellowship. Congratulations to the evening U.C.W. members for a wonderful evening.
A Big Bid Euchre was held on January 17th, at Seagrave United Church. Eleanor, took home top prize, Vince came second, Audrey came third and had the most lone hands, Jean came in fourth place, and Deb took the 50/50 draw. A fun night was had by all. Thank you to the people who brought some light snacks to go with the tea and refreshments. The next Big Bid Euchre will be March 21st.
Matt Somerville is putting a story together for the newspaper, regarding the Seagrave bridge and would appreciate any historic photos that anyone might have of the bridge. The meet and greet to meet our new minister Stephanie Richmond was well attended and enjoyed.
The Turkey Supper Review meeting decided that they would continue with the Turkey Supper again this year, with some changes to the format.
The funeral service for Marie Foster took place on the 19th at Greenbank Church with Stephanie Richmond and Rev. Richard Parker officiating. It was a beautiful service for “A Beautiful Lady”.
Happy 80th Birthday to Keith Bacon of Greenbank on January 21st.
Sunday was a Combined Service at Greenbank Church with greeters Susan Duivesteyn and Diane Puckrin. John Olivero read the scriptures. Stephanie Richmond’s service was about “The Fishermen” and Jesus saying “follow Me”. It is not always easy to reach out to others, but when you do it is rewarding.
