I'm sure everyone enjoyed the long weekend, with the rain, sun, and fireworks.
On Sunday, the church at Epsom was transformed, with beautiful apple blossoms and gorgeous tall orchids, for the marriage ceremony uniting Betty Louise Medd and Philip Benns. The joy and excitement carried through, with a reception and party at Trillum Trails in Raglan. Congratulations and best wishes to Betty and Philip for a lifetime of happiness.
June 11th is fast approaching. If you can put together a family history of your time at Epsom school, it would be much appreciated. The kids at school have EQAO this week, for the grade 3's, next week for the grade 6's.
This Saturday May 27 will be picture day for the North Durham United Football Club rep soccer kids, and families, at the Scugog Fields. Everyone is invited to watch some practices, enjoy the BBQ, and see fun games, ball jugglers, and prize giveaways.
I’m asking, for a final time, to get some local news from all you good folks so that this column keeps going. I have asked to hear from residents, and the few local businesses in our community, but outside of a few regular people sending me material, I don't get enough to submit each week. Entirely up to you, but I may need to start submitting fewer times during the year, if more of you don't share your news with me. Have a safe and peaceful week.
