Blackstock & District Lions Club
No doubt you have the dates of Friday and Saturday, July 7th and 8th, on your calendar for the annual Truck & Tractor Pull, but here’s another one for you. Sunday, August 20th, is the 30th anniversary of the Musician’s Corn Roast on Wasson’s farm, 4790 McKee Road off Highway 57, in Blackstock. If you are a country and western fan, you’ll want to be there to enjoy such performers as: Robin Edgar, Barb Holtman, Gary Hooper, Jim and Kathy Vaillancourt, the Vautor Family Band, Harold MacIntyre, Scotty Gartshore, Dennis Whitty, Mary Scarlett, Tracy Ryan & the Forbidden, Darrin Johnson, Ted Gill & friends, Winston James, Bill Johnson, and, of course, Houseband with Louise Wright. Our Blackstock Lions will be working with the Port Perry Lions to provide burgers, corn, and refreshments. Hope to see you there.
At our next meeting we will welcome our District Governor, Lion David Mills, from Haliburton who will be making his official visit as well as installing our Board of Directors for the new Lions year, which begins on July 1st.
