On Sunday, Mother’s Day, most families enjoyed family gatherings to honour their mothers with food, fellowship and gifts. What a great opportunity to be together.

Last weekend John Wolters joined his daughters Wilma and Debbie and his sister-in-law from Woodstock, to travel to Michigan, to visit his older sister and her family.
Blackstock was well represented at the Women’s Institute Alumini Tea, where members, former members, and families of former members, gathered at the Sugog Hall in Port Perry for a lovely afternoon tea. A large crowd attended this special event.
With the warmer, drier, weather, many of the farmers are able to get started at the planting season, which is much later than usual.
