Brenda Jones along with some friends enjoyed a visit to Halifax where they enjoyed the “Royal Tattoo” on Canada Day. What a show!
Blackstock was a busy and noisy place on Friday and Saturday evenings, when the 42nd Truck and Tractor Pull took place. Large crowds gathered each night to enjoy the action. Unfortunately, showers interrupted the action twice on Friday, but the people returned and the action continued when the skies cleared.
In contrast, Saturday evening was clear and much cooler. Once again a large crowd enjoyed the action, which featured keen competition; whether it was trucks, tractors, or minis, everything went well without any mishaps. A great event.
Several from here enjoyed the strawberry supper, sponsored by the District Women's Institute, held in Port Perry. Dave Wotten from Purple Hill, provided the entertainment.
