After a spell of bitterly cold weather, with milder temperatures snow has arrived.
The community was saddened to learn of Don Frew’s death. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening, with the funeral on Thursday at Wagg’s funeral home. Sympathy is extended to his wife Norma and their family.
The celebration of life for Bill Lishman will be held on Saturday, January 20th, at 1 to 4 p.m. at the McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa.
Our thoughts are with Doreen Sheehey who is under Doctor’s care. Her daughter from Vancouver has arrived to visit her Mom.
This is the season for annual meetings. The Fair Board will be holding its meeting on January 18th, in the form of a pot luck dinner.
The free walking program has resumed after the holidays each Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Rec. Centre.
The card party met on an extremely cold night on Tuesday, with the following winners: First, Pat Allemang; second, Elmo Gibson and Jocelyn Bradbury; third, Joe Goldsmith and Alma Manns; fourth Winnie Asling; fifth, Norm Lackner. Most lone hands, Jocelym Bradbury.
The specials were won by John Kaye, Winnie Asling, Don Trunks, and Jacky Atfield.
