SCUGOG: CrossFit recently opened their business at 99 North Port Rd. in Port Perry.
Crossfit is defined on the company’s website as “constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity.
Trevor Britton, an Olympic medalist, is the head coach and he works with his partner Andrea Lane to run the business. They officially opened their doors to the Scugog Community in early January.
They will be hosting a weighlifting meet at the site on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. According to their Facebook page, “This is a low pressure, fun, unofficial meet great for beginners and first timers.” There is a $25 registration fee.
First Prize in the event is a one month free OBC membership.
