Lindsay had previously worked at the Oshawa location, from 2002 until 2011. She started working at the Port Perry store in 2011, as an assistant manager.
"I love being the manager here because I have a great team, and not only that, I am from Port Perry as well,” she said. “I recognize a lot of the customers, people I went to school with, people that I used to work for or work with.”
Lindsay also told The Standard, she brings a lot to the business as its new manager.
"With being with the company since 2002, I think I bring a lot of experience. I've learned under some amazing managers, I've learned the ropes on how to run the place,” she said.
Lindsay wanted to stress, Almost Perfect is a more affordable option to just going to a grocery store.
"The best thing about Almost Perfect is that it is going to save you a lot of money coming here, rather than to the grocery store,” she said. “I always say to people, 'shop here before going to the grocery store because you will definitely notice it on your receipt at the end.' You will find a lot of the products here that you can find at the grocery store, as well.”
She also said, Almost Perfect is more than just frozen foods.
"When I first started, it was mostly frozen foods. They've really expanded to what we are getting now. They are making it more of a one stop shop, you can get your bread, we have juice, we have snacks. There are lots of options here.”
Almost Perfect also has many frozen gluten free products available.
"They are at amazing prices compared to the grocery stores,” Lindsay said.
According to the Almost Perfect web-site, people can find products at “substantial savings” that are “usually 30 to 70 per cent of traditional retailers.”
Almost Perfect is located at 1866 Scugog St., in Port Perry. For more information visit their web-site, at www.almostperfect.ca.
